South Bank boasts a 25 metre Cinemascope screen with state of the art laser projection, providing superb picture and sound quality - it is the largest cinema screen in downtown Brisbane. There are also four other great screens where you can sit back and enjoy the latest releases at cheapest prices!

How to get to Southbank Cineplex

Access by Car

Cineplex South Bank is located on the corner of Ernest and Grey Streets in South Bank and just like our Balmoral complex is situated in the heart of an entertainment destination for the people of Brisbane and has many restaurants to choose from.

Car Parking

Cineplex South Bank owns and operates a car park located directly below the cinema complex. The entrance for this car park is located on Ernest st. This car park only hold 80 cars. Below is a great deal that we offer our cinema patrons:

  • 4hrs FREE to all cinema patrons, however:
  • You must watch a film in its entirety during your car park stay (we do not allow customers to buy a ticket but go elsewhere)
  • You must validate your car park ticket at the ticket box located in the main foyer when you are ready to leave

Public Transport

Bus

South Bank Cinemas also have very good access to bus stops. In addition to regular bus stops in Merivale, Cordelia, Golchester & Melbourne Street, South Bank Cinemas also have an express free way bus station located on the corner of Colchester & Tribune Streets.

Ferry

The CityCat terminal is located outside the Riverside Restaurants on the Clem Jones Promenade. The Cross River Ferry terminal is located at the Boardwalk end of the Clem Jones Promenade.

Train

Cineplex South Bank is located only a few minutes walk from either South Bank or South Brisbane Train Stations. The South Bank Station is accessed off Tribune Street. The South Brisbane Railway Station is accessed via Melbourne Street.
