CINEPLEX BALMORAL

The cinemas, located in the main street of Bulimba, were originally a single open-air cinema built in the early part of this century. Things have come along way since then with six cinemas now standing on the original site.

Please note that not all auditoriums are wheelchair accessible to current standards.

Cinema 1 is fully wheelchair accessible and has a sloping floor so the full length of the aisles are accessible from front to back.

Cinema 2 is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible due to several steps on entry.

Cinema 3 is only accessible for the first 3 rows.

Cinemas 4, 5 and 6 are accessible, however stadium seating limits access to only the front row.

We will do our best to accommodate your accessibility. If you have any queries about this, please call the cinema or send an email.

How to get to Balmoral Cineplex

Access by Car

The Balmoral Cineplex is conveniently located in Oxford Street in the trendy suburb of Bulimba, nestled amongst the many cafes and restaurants between Pine and Wambool Streets. Follow Hawthorne Road or Riding Road from the City, and Lytton Road from southern suburbs (turn off Lytton Road / Murrarie from the Gateway Arterial Road) to the Oxford Street roundabout. Then turn into Oxford Street next to the Shell Garage.

Car Parking

Car Parking is available in two locations for cinema patrons. First, there is undercover car parking on Oxford Street located next door to the Sushi Station. Second, there is parking above the cinema accessible from Pine Street. Take the second driveway on the left when turning right from Oxford Street into Pine Street, just before you reach the cinemas. When parking on top of the cinemas there are steps leading down to Oxford Street. There are designated Disabled parking spaces in the undercover car park that we ask you to respectfully leave for those who need them. There are over 120 spaces in total.
