When Loki, brother of the Mighty Thor, appears on Earth, he poses a threat to the entire planet. It is up to the peacekeeping agency SHIELD, lead by Nick Fury, to face him. But they can't do it alone. The Avengers Initiative is realised: billioanire Tony Stark/Iron Man, the recently thawed out WW2 hero Captain America, Norse God Thor and the uncontrollable, yet incredible, Hulk, along with SHIELD agents Hawkeye and Black Widow, are recruited, tasked with ending the Loki threat. But these personalities aren't used to sharing the lead...and Loki hasn't come alone.
