Every year the residents of Beecham House, a home for retired opera singers, hold a gala concert on the Birthday of composer Giuseppe Verdi to raise funds for their home. However this years festivities are interrupted by Jean, an opera diva and ex wife of a fellow resident operatic singer, whose move into the house stirs up old feelings among the residents.
